The full band realization of the closing track from “The Cosmere Project”, my debut small ensemble record. Beginning slowly and expressively, Survivor’s Hymn explodes into an up tempo modal reharmonization of the melody, before breaking down for the soloists turn to stretch out. Featuring compelling rhythmic development of the melody following the soloists and a declamatory restatement of the melody by the ensemble, Survivor’s Hymn is an ideal closer for moderately experienced high school and college bands.
