Begun in anticipation of the birth of my son, and finished during the 2020 global pandemic experience, Hindsight begins hopeful and optimistic with excited Trombone and Trumpet melodic lead. The chart develops into an Alto solo with chromatically dense interjections, before alead-overdrive guitar solo takes us into the recovery and a glorious restatement of the melody. Intended as a response to the tumultuous events of that year, and a look forward to a recovery and return to normalcy. Hindsight is a great closer for an experienced college ensemble looking for a challenging, high-energy piece.
